Observers of the Council of Europe (CE) will monitor the voting process at Georgia's local elections, Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe Chairman and Swiss Foreign Minister Micheline Calmy-Rey said at a joint news briefing with Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze in Tbilisi today.
She stressed that the Council of Europe supports Georgia's democratic reforms, as well as reforms in the judicial system.
"We have agreed to observe the local elections in Georgia just under the framework of the democratic reforms and our monitors will be sent to Georgia," she added.
