Azerbaijan has allocated $500,000 to help people injured in Haiti's earthquake. The amount will be transferred to the UN account, opened specially for these purposes. It will be distributed under the UN, Foreign Ministry spokesman Elkhan Polukhov told Trend .
According to Haiti's authorities, 1.5 million residents became homeless as a result of severe disaster on January 12. The earthquake killed more than 100,000 people. The total number of victims reaches 3 million people.
