Georgian Patriarch urges EU to be active in rehabiliation of Georgia's territorial integrity

Ilia II appealed the European Union to intensify its efforts for rehabilitating territorial integrity of Georgia. Ilia II told journalists about it after a meeting with Head of the Е uropean Commission mission Pier Eklund.
"Neither war, nor peace situation cannot contribute in improving the situation. Today our country suffers from violation of its territory and we asked the EU to be more active," Ilia II said.
Eklund, in his turn, said they discussed the rehabilitation of Georgia's territorial integrity during the talks, further democratization, reforms and upcoming local elections.
