Georgian President: Tbilisi Prospect Aghmashenebeli to resemble Paris streets

Tbilisi City Administration launched a full rehabilitation of
David Agmashenebeli prospect. Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili attended the presentation of the project Jan.29.

About 70 houses will be reconstructed under the project. Arts critics and architects carried out research, designers and geologists examined the physical condition of buildings, after which work on some areas have already begun. Some 30 houses will be repaired
Studies showed that most part of the building was in bad conditions and each of them needs fundament strengthening. The construction companies also planned restoration of fronts
The first phase of work began with the Queen Tamar prospect and Mardzhanishvili square.
