Georgian Reintegration Minister Temur Yakobashvili discussed France's participation in the development and realization of the country's strategy toward Abkzazia and South Ossetia during his meeting in Paris.
Yakobashvili discussed these issues during a meeting with French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner and Georgian Secretary of State for European Affairs Pier Lelush.
France welcomes the Georgia government's vision outlined in the strategy, the officials' offices reported.
The French government also expressed willingness to play an active role in the development of a program to increase the prosperity of the people residing in these territories.
During his visit the minister also met with French Foreign Ministry and Defense Ministry senior officials, as well as French Institute of International Relations experts.
The minister is also expected to meet with other high-ranking politicians politicians and French media representatives.
