Elvira Shukurova, a third-year student at a lyceum for talented children run by the Uzbek State Conservatory, won second place at the Scriabin International Competition of Pianists.

The pupil of Uzbek State Conservatory Professor Marat Gumarov performed Johann Sebastian Bach and Frederic Chopin.

The competition has been held ten years in Paris. Fifty young pianists from 15 nations took part.

Shukurova's participation in the competition was made possible thanks to the support of the Soglom Avlod Uchun Fund.
