Uzbek President Islam Karimov received credentials from the newly appointed ambassadors of Kazakhstan, Turkey and Korea to Uzbekistan, Boribay Jeksembin, Sertac Sunmezai, and Jun Dae-wan, at the presidential residence March 4, official Uzbek media reported.

While receiving their credentials, Karimov congratulated the envoys with their appointments and wished them success in their missions to Uzbekistan.

The Uzbek and Kazakh people are linked by their common history and customs, and the relations between the two countries are developing bilaterally and multilaterally, Karimov said during talks with the Kazakh ambassador.

Uzbekistan-Turkey relations are developing dynamically in the trade and economic and financial spheres. Uzbek businessmen have established active cooperation with their Turkish partners in the textile and food industries. Many joint projects are also contributing to the development of investment cooperation between the two countries.

Uzbekistan and South Korea have reached a high level of relations, the media added, which is seen by Karimov's state visit to the country in February. The volume of South Korean investments in the Uzbek economy has exceeded $2 billion.
