President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk and his accompanying delegation, AzerTaj state news agency reported.
The Head of State stressed Azerbaijan-Poland relations are successfully developing. He noted economic cooperation between the two countries must be intensified in order to reach the level of political ties. The Azerbaijan leader said Azerbaijan is keen on expanding cooperation with Poland in a variety of fields. He expressed assurance that Prime Minister`s visit would help outline new areas for cooperation and allow to discuss additional measures to start joint projects.
Premier Tusk pointed out he visited the Alley of Honors and Alley of Martyrs, adding these places are very important for Azerbaijan from the historical point of view. Tusk expressed confidence that his visit would be useful for defining concrete economic projects to implement and enhancing bilateral relations even more. The Prime Minister also underscored the importance for expanding bilateral relations within the framework of the European Union.
