Georgia to host events dedicated to late Azerbaijani national leader's birthday

The Azerbaijani Embassy in Georgia and state and public organizations will hold a series of events dedicated to the eighty-seventh birthday of late Azerbaijani national leader Heydar Aliyev.
"Aliyev's birthday is marked May 10. He was a great friend of the Georgian people. Not only Azerbaijan, but many countries celebrate the memory of this great man," the embassy reported.
The embassy plans to lay wreaths at the Heydar Aliyev Square in Tbilisi. The embassy will also hold a presentation of a project to rebuild the square. The embassy will also hold an exhibtion of a series of stamps dedicated to Aliyev.
The heads of diplomatic missions in Georgia, governmental leaders and representatives, and Georgian and Azerbaijani intellectuals will attend the events. Azerbaijani Ambassador Namiq Aliyev will also address the exhibition.
The governor of the Kvemo Kartli region will also take part in the events.
