Ugulava leads in local elections

Acting Mayor Gigi Ugulava is leading in the local elections in 31 districts in Tbilisi, the Georgian Central Election Commission reported.
Ruling United National Movement candidate Ugulava received 54.6 percent of the votes. Alliance for Georgia leader Irakli Alasania has 16.38 percent, Christian-Democratic Movement member Gia Chanturia has 13.15 percent, National Council head Zviad Dzidziguri has 9.03 percent, and Industrialists Party Gogi Topadze has 5.42 percent.
In total, 774 constituencies operated during the elections in Tbilisi.
Some 1.8 million of 3,544,770 voters took part in the elections throughout Georgia.
