An agreement on mutual assistance to remove the effects of a natural disaster was signed by Azerbaijan and Greece in Athens in February and will be tabled in the Azerbaijani parliament.

An agreement on mutual assistance to remove the effects of a natural disaster was signed by Azerbaijan and Greece in Athens in February and will be tabled in the Azerbaijani parliament.

The Parliamentary Natural Resources, Energy and Environment Committee discussed the draft agreement on cooperation and mutual assistance between the Greek and Azerbaijani governments to prevent and liquidate the consequences of natural disasters.

The document reflects forms of cooperation between the two countries in emergency situations, border crossing detachments assistance and information exchange.

The committee members said the document meets the country's national interests.
