Turkey intends to maintain the basic principles of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) during its presidency in the organization, Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister, Unal Cevikoz said today at a press-conference in Istanbul.
"Turkey will contribute to the development of the organization. Turkey and Kazakhstan intend to unite their potential during the presidency of Kazakhstan in the OSCE and Turkey in the CICA," Cevikoz said.
The Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) is the international forum uniting the countries of the Asian continent. It aims to strengthen relations and cooperation among Asian countries to ensure stability and security in the region. Turkey will preside in the organization in 2010-2012.
