Mutual efforts of regional organizations and international forums must be the basis for the formation of long-term safety, Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev said at the opening event "Security and economic cooperation in Eurasia in XXI century" within the Third Summit of Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA).
"Complementary efforts of regional organizations and international forums can be and must be the main leitmotif of the formation of long-term security," the president said.
He said that at present the only organization envisaging the establishment of pan-Asian security mechanism is CICA.
The core idea of the Conference is the formation of pan-Asian multilateral institution, combining countries of the Asian continent to ensure stability and security in the broadest, polyethnic and multicultural region of the world, Nazarbayev said.
