During the visit of U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to Azerbaijan, allocation of financial assistance by the U.S. Congress to Nagorno-Karabakh will be raised, Vice-Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament Bahar Muradova told media.

"Financial assistance, allocated to Nagorno-Karabakh, can be spent to support the separatist regime, and therefore there is sufficient evidence," Muradov said.

She said that if this assistance is spent to improve living standards, it must be transferred through Azerbaijan.

U.S. Secretary of State's visit to Azerbaijan is scheduled for July 4.

The Committee on Foreign Appropriations of the U.S. House of Representatives approved a budget for 2011. According to it, the amount of the allocated financial assistance to Armenia will be $44 million, the Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) said.

"The allocated amount worth $4 million exceeds the amount provided by U.S. President Barack Obama, but at the same time it is $4 million less than that one allocated last year", the report said.
