The French Marine Nationale's "Jean de Vienne" frigate will arrive at the Batumi Port July 8-11. The visit is carried out in the framework of Georgia-France bilateral cooperation, the French Embassy in Tbilisi told Trend.
An event dedicated to the frigate's arrival will be held July 8. Adjara head Levan Varshalomidze, Batumi Mayor Robert Chkheidze, French Military Attache in Georgia and Vice-Colonel Jean- Luc Theus will attend.
The crew will also meet with senior Defense Ministry officials, and hold a friendly football match with the Georgian Coast Guard in Gonio.
The frigate will be open to visitors July 9-10.
The French sailors and the Coast Guard will use the opportunity to conduct joint exercises July 9-11. The frigate will leave the port July 11.
