Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Hungary Vilayat Guliyev on Monday presented his credentials to President Laszlo Solyom, embassy told Trend.
After the ceremony a meeting between the President of Hungary and Ambassador of Azerbaijan took place.
At the meeting, Solyom said that Hungary attaches great importance to relations with Azerbaijan.
According to him, there is complete political understanding and a good environment for the development of economic, scientific and cultural relations between two countries.
Hungarian president stressed that the significance of Azerbaijan in the modern world as a cultural and economic bridge between Europe and Asia is increasing.
Azerbaijani ambassador said that the ties between the two countries based on mutual interest have intensified in recent years.
Guliyev said that during his diplomatic activity he will seek to develop the Azeri-Hungarian relations in every sphere.
