Georgia, Tbilisi, July 14 / Trend N.Kirtzkhalia /
A delegation of the members of the European Parliament arrived in Tbilisi today. The delegation includes members of the parliament's security and defense subcommittee.
During their two-day visit, the delegation will hold meetings with the foreign and interior ministries, the National Security Council and parliament.
The MEPs intend to visit Gori to get acquainted with the work of EU monitors.
"We intend to study the situation on the conflict line, as the EU does not recognize this as a border, as we do not recognize the independence of Abkhazia and South Ossetia," the delegation's head Christoph Lieseke said.
