Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev received a delegation led by Portuguese Foreign Minister, Luis Amado, AzerTaj state news agency reported.
The President expressed confidence that during the visit of Portuguese Foreign Minister, bilateral relations will be effectively discussed. He noted the importance of the visit in terms of further development of relations between Azerbaijan and Portugal.
President Ilham Aliyev also expressed his hope that the visit of Luis Amado will contribute to the expansion of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the European Union.
Luis Amado conveyed the President greetings of the Portuguese counterpart and Prime Minister. He also said that Portugal could become a good partner for Azerbaijan in the bilateral relations and cooperation with the European Union.
President thanked the Portuguese counterpart and Prime Minister for the greetings and asked him to convey his greetings to the Portuguese counterpart and Prime Minister.
