Kazakh Jambil region detains Taraz resident accused of preparing marijuana

The Kazakh Jambil region’s police detained the Taraz region’s resident, accused of preparing over one ton of marijuana within Operation “Mac 2010” in the city of Shu, Jambil region Interior Department’s spokesman Roza Kaldibekova told Trend.

The Kazakh Jambil region's police detained the Taraz region's resident, accused of preparing over one ton of marijuana within Operation "Mac 2010" in the city of Shu, Jambil region Interior Department's spokesman Rosa Kaldibekova told Trend.

"During a routine operational work police revealed the Taraz region's 41-year-old resident. He prepared a ton of cannabis, part of which he has already dried and put into bags," Kaldibekova said.

She said the police officers found some material evidence on the spot- sickle, three large Chinese tents, dozens of bags and weekly rations.

"The suspect confessed that wanted to earn much money - 10 million tenge ($ 7,000)," Kaldibekova said.

She said from early 2010 the Jambil region's police seized 6 tons of drugs from circulation, revealed 40 facts of drug trade, 17 facts of them are related with smuggling.
