Azerbaijani President orders providing one-time financial assistance to media outlets

Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on financing the events connected with the 135th anniversary of the Azerbaijani national press, and providing lump sum financial assistance to the media outlets of the Azerbaijan Republic, AzerTAj state news agency reported.

Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on financing the events connected with the 135th anniversary of the Azerbaijani national press, and providing lump sum financial assistance to the media outlets of the Azerbaijan Republic, AzerTAj state news agency reported.

Upon the Presidential order, 1.0 million manat will be allocated from the Reserve Fund of the President of Azerbaijan Republic for financing the events connected with the 135th anniversary of the Azerbaijani national press, and providing lump sum financial assistance to the media outlets.

These funds will be aimed at providing one-time financial assistance amounting to 280,000 manat to State Media Support Fund under the President of Azerbaijan Republic and providing one-time financial assistance amounting to 20,000 manat for each of the following 32 newspapers:

Upon the order, one-time financial assistance amounting to 10,000 manat will be allocated to each of the following eight news agencies:

The Ministry of Finance of Azerbaijan is in charge of transferring funds to State Media Support Fund, newspaper and news agencies.
