Georgian Ambassador to the OSCE Paata Gaprindashvili assesses the Russian side's position to invite representatives of Sukhumi and Tskhinvali to the OSCE to consider the Geneva discussions, as a "requirement without content". This requirement was put forward by a representative of Russia in the OSCE Anvar Azimov.

"Sukhumi and Tskhinvali must get the opportunity to convey their views to the OSCE. Without taking into account the views of the Abkhazians and Ossetians, the regular Council of the OSCE will not be able to evaluate an objective picture of the Geneva Dialogue," Azimov said, stressing that once again one failed to persuade Georgia to execute the agreement on the non-use of force.

"This is Russia's weak attempt to avoid substantive discussions", Gaprindashvili said.

He said that the need to include active discussions in any form - the Geneva format or the OSCE one in the process was indicated for Russia.
