Domestic violence is on the rise in Georgia.
According to the Georgian Interior Ministry, 686 acts of domestic violence by men and 71 acts of domestic violence by women were reported in the first seven moths of this year.
The ministry stressed that the number of unreported instances is likely much higher.
According to a recent U.N. report, almost 20 percent of all women in the world are made victim to domestic violence at one time or another.
