Azerbaijani Parliament will discuss law on 'Ex-president'

The Azerbaijani parliament will discuss the bill "On the Status of the Ex-President" after the parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan, Parliamentary Administration Safa Mirzoyev told Trend today.
"We plan to discuss this bill in the parliament. However, it is impossible before the parliamentary elections," he said.
Additions and changes to the Azerbaijani Constitution through a referendum held March 18, 2009, envisaged the assignment of the status of ex-president to former heads of state. A new bill must was prepared and submitted to the Parliament.
The parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are scheduled for November 7, 2010. Parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are held by the majority system in 125 constituencies.
