Azerbaijani President receives credentials of new German ambassador

Ilham Aliyev has today received credentials from newly appointed German ambassador to the country Herbert Quelle, AzerTAj state news agency reported.
During the talk, the Head of State praised the longstanding relations between Azerbaijan and Germany, saying they were developing in a variety of fields.
President Ilham Aliyev said Azerbaijan attached great importance to cooperation with Germany, adding there were good opportunities to strengthen the bilateral relations even more.
The Head of State expressed hope that during his tenure the diplomat would contribute to expanding the relations between Azerbaijan and Germany.
Ambassador Quelle said Germany placed a particular stress on its cooperation with Azerbaijan in various fields, in particular energy sector.
The ambassador vowed to spare no efforts to contribute to deepening and expanding the Azerbaijan-Germany relations.
