CIS Interparliamentary Assembly’s 35th plenary session to start its work in St. Petersburg

Today a session of the CSTO PA Standing Committee on Defense and Security, which will be attended by the Kazakh delegation headed by the Majlis Speaker Ural Mukhamedzhanov, will start its work in St. Petersburg, the Kazakh Parliament told Trend.

"Tomorrow, Oct. 27, it is expected to hold meetings of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly's standing committees, in particular, on political issues and international cooperation, as well as on agrarian policy, natural resources and ecology," the press release says.

The program of the day envisages holding meetings of the EurAsEC IPA Bureau, Council and the fourth plenary session of the CSTO PA.

"The thirty fifth Plenary Session of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS member states will begin its work Oct.28. An international parliamentary conference on Kazakhstan's chairmanship in the OSCE is scheduled to be held on the same day - Oct.28. The Forum topic is "The OSCE and the CIS: new opportunities and prospects," the press release says.

The conference's organizers are the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS member states and the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
   
"Parliamentary events will be completed Oct. 29 by holding International Congress "Road Safety for the Safety of Life", the press release says.
