The Czech Republic and Azerbaijan have good relations in the political sphere, the Czech ambassador to Azerbaijan Matula Radek said addressing to the Azerbaijani-Czech business forum in Baku.
"At present, the Czech President's visit to Azerbaijan in spring of 2011 at the working level is under consideration," Matula said.
He said in March 2010 the two countries signed an agreement on trade and economic cooperation, on the basis of which a combined bilateral commission will be created to supervise scientific and technical cooperation.
"The commission is still to be fully formed. Its co-chairs should be officially appointed and a staff should be determined," Matula added.
According to Matula, perhaps the commission's first meeting will be held by late 2010.
"In addition, an agreement on encouragement and mutual protection of investments between the two countries has been nearly finalized," he said.
