The third son of Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex, arrived in Tbilisi this morning on a two-day visit.
He will attend the opening ceremony of the new British Embassy in Krtsanisi.
During the visit, Prince Edward will also meet with governmental officials and British businessmen in Georgia. The prince is a special honorary representative for the UK in trade affairs and therefore has a great interest in talking with local businessmen.
Earlier, the British Embassy in Georgia reported that Prince Edward will get acquainted with the activities of BP, the EU monitoring mission, and the British Council. He will also discuss future UK-Georgia cooperation.
