Azerbaijan and Montenegro signed two documents on cooperation, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said.
Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov received the delegation headed by Montenegro's Foreign Minister Milan Rocen, who is on visit to Azerbaijan. It was noted that Azerbaijan and Montenegro have broad opportunities for cooperation in several spheres, including economy and tourism.
The sides agreed to expand the legal basis of communication and cooperation between the two countries. The agreement on abolishing visas for people with diplomatic and official passports and the protocol on cooperation between the two foreign ministries were signed by both ministers.
Mammadyarov stressed the importance of developing relations and sharing experience in cultural and educational spheres, along with economic and tourism sector.
Azerbaijani Minister informed his counterpart about the negotiations for peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Rocen expressed confidence in the development of successful cooperation between Azerbaijan and Montenegro. He stressed the importance of further meetings at various levels between the two countries. He invited Azerbaijani counterpart to visit Montenegro. The invitation was accepted with gratitude.
