While addressing the OSCE summit in Astana, Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev urged the organization's members to develop a comprehensive strategy to settle the situation in Afghanistan, Trend's special correspondent in Astana reported.

"We support drawing up a comprehensive strategy on resolving the situation in Afghanistan, economic recovery and a peaceful life in this country," he said.

According to Nazarbayev, in the early 21st century, the most dangerous threats to European stability have been outside Europe proper. In particular, 43 OSCE member states are involved in resolving the Afghan issue, he said.
