President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today met here with Prime Minister of Netherlands Mark Rutte, AzerTAj state news agency reported.
Opportunities for Azerbaijan-Netherlands cooperation in a variety of fields were discussed at the meeting. The need for taking some steps in this direction was underlined.
The parties noted opening of embassies contributes to cooperation between the two countries. The Azerbaijan-Netherlands cooperation in terms of development of Azerbaijan-EU relations was underscored at the meeting.
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today met Turkish counterpart Abdullah Gul in Astana, Kazakhstan. The Presidents expressed satisfaction with development of friendly and fraternal relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey in various spheres.
They expressed hope relations between the two countries would continue to strengthen. Abdullah Gul congratulated the Azerbaijan`s President on successful completion of parliamentary elections.
The Heads of the State also discussed settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
President Aliyev has today met Prime Minister of Greece George Papandreou.Development of relations between Azerbaijan and Greece was discussed at the meeting. They noted the two countries have good prospects for cooperation in various fields, in particular energy sector. The parties discussed the ways for settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. President Ilham Aliyev highlighted Azerbaijan`s position on settlement of the dispute.
President Ilham Aliyev has met also Foreign Minister of Australia Kevin Rudd in Astana. Mr. Rudd said Australia is interested in developing bilateral, security, environmental and global cooperation with Azerbaijan. He also informed the President that Azerbaijani community exists in his country.
President Ilham Aliyev said Azerbaijan can develop cooperation with Australia. The President highlighted development of Azerbaijan in all fields, adding there is good environment for Australian companies to operate in Azerbaijan. They also discussed the ways for settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
President Aliyev has today met here with Georgian counterpart Mikheil Saakashvili. The Presidents expressed satisfaction with successful development of Azerbaijan-Georgia relations based on strategic partnership.
They discussed joint energy projects, in particular the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway. The parties expressed confidence relations between the two countries would continue to expand.
President Aliyev has also met here with Slovenian counterpart Danilo Turk. The sides discussed bilateral relations. Good opportunities for expansion of relations were noted at the meting. Reciprocal visits contributed to development of bilateral ties.
Slovenian President was curious about resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh dispute. President Ilham Aliyev briefed his Slovenian counterpart on the Azerbaijan`s stance on the conflict.
President Ilham Aliyev has today met with President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy. They praised successful cooperation between the country and the organization. The sides discussed the ways for settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and energy cooperation.
They expressed confidence relations between Azerbaijan and the European Council would continue to expand.
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today met here UK Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg. They praised the development of relationship between Azerbaijan and UK. They also underlined the importance of energy cooperation between the two countries, saying there are good prospects for its expansion.
They also exchanged views on how to deepen bilateral cooperation in other spheres. They also touched upon the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno Karabakh conflict. President Ilham Aliyev spoke of Azerbaijan`s stance on the issue.
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met Wednesday here Austrian counterpart Heinz Fischer.
The Austrian President said his country was interested in development of political, economic, energy cooperation with Azerbaijan. He underlined the necessity of taking certain relevant steps, as well as expanding the activities of the Austrian companies operating in Azerbaijan.
President Heinz Fischer stressed the importance of deepening the cooperation between Austrian energy companies with Azerbaijan State Oil Company (SOCAR).
The Austrian leader also inquired about the issue on settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
President Ilham Aliyev told of Azerbaijan`s stance on resolution of the conflict.
