Tbilisi will host a regional conference on preventing human trafficking by providing education in schools.
The conference is organized by the International Migration Organization. It will be held at the Courtyard Marriott on Dec. 2-3. The conference will summarize a two-year project funded by the Swiss Agency for Development in Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan.
The forum will be attended by representatives of South Caucasus education ministries, NGOs and civil societies.
The project aims to raise awareness among youth about the dangers of human trafficking. An important aspect of the conference is the presentation of the textbooks, posters, brochures, and the audio, video and TV clips created as part of the project.
Teachers and schoolchildren are also invited to the conference.
