Migration services of the CIS countries will create a single database, the First Deputy Director of the Federal Migration Service (FMS) of Russia, Police Lieutenant General Mikhail Turkin told journalists, RIA Novosti reported.
"Information exchange is very important, so some time ago, we agreed to create a single database with our colleagues from the CIS countries. There is already a concept and technical tasks, so that we can begin the practical work," Turkin, who attended the meeting of the joint board of the Russian Interior Ministry and Interior Ministry of Tajikistan on combating illegal migration, said.
According to him, "this resource can be fully formed in a few years."
