Azerbaijan, Baku, Dec. 9 / Trend /

The Azerbaijani Embassy in Mexico created a Spanish website dedicated to the life and activities of the Azerbaijani national leader Heydar Aliyev.

The website has been designed to pay tribute to the national leader and was presented to the general Hispanic community, the embassy told Trend.

The website /www.heydar-aliyev.mx/ reflects Heydar Aliyev's biography, his far-sighted political and economic strategy for the future of Azerbaijani nation, the memories and opinions of world-renowned politicians and public figures about Heydar Aliyev, as well as describes the activities of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

In April 1982, a delegation of senior officials of the USSR led by Heydar Aliyev paid a business visit to Mexico. The website contains the archival materials about this visit, as well as Heydar Aliyev's meeting with Mexico's president, video and photos of the visit, provided by the Congress of Mexico and other government archives, as well as world press published articles.

The website also provides information about Azerbaijan, the country's foreign policy and history of cooperation with international organizations, as well as the Armenian aggression against Azerbaijan and information about the Khojali genocide.

This website was created in Spanish and is the first Hispanic online resource dedicated to the life and activity of Heydar Aliyev. The website has become another step to eliminate the information gap about the Azerbaijani realities in the Hispanic press in the Latin American region, which is home to many Armenian communities.
