Turkmen President Gurbangulu Berdymuhammedov received Turkish Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador Huseyin Avni Bychakly, who completed his diplomatic mission, the press service of the Turkmen government reported.
The two sides exchanged views on prospects of bilateral cooperation, including dozens of implemented and ongoing joint projects in various spheres.
Turkish companies are involved in the construction business worth billions of dollars in Turkmenistan, which include textile facilities, residential areas and a tourist resort on the Caspian Sea.
The diplomat said that Turkey is sincerely glad about the success and achievements of the people of Turkmenistan who gave him a feeling of fraternity, adding that Turkish and Turkmen people were united by deep historical roots and ties of spiritual kinship.
He also noted that the Turkish Republic fully supports the constructive policy as well as international initiatives of Turkmenistan, which were aimed at strengthening global peace and security, sustainable development at regional and global scale.
"Turkmenistan is committed to the traditional relations of friendship and fruitful cooperation with Turkey," the President said noting the high level of the Turkmen-Turkish dialogue.
The two countries have held regular bilateral meetings at the highest level and have signed agreements that have greatly expanded the range of their interstate partnership by providing new opportunities and a huge potential of interaction.
The Turkish diplomat stressed that foreign partners have shown great interest in cooperating with Turkmenistan.
