Georgian delegation to focus on Russia's failure to fulfill commitments to PACE

A Georgian delegation will highlight Russia's failure to fulfill its commitments to eradicate the consequences of the Georgian-Russian war on the basis of resolutions at the Council of Europe, head of the Georgian delegation to PACE Petre Tsiskarishvili said.

A Georgian delegation will highlight Russia's failure to fulfill its commitments to eradicate the consequences of the Georgian-Russian war on the basis of resolutions at the Council of Europe, head of the Georgian delegation to PACE Petre Tsiskarishvili said.

The delegation composed of David Darchiashvili, Goka Gabashvili, Chiora Taktakishvili Petre Tsiskarishvili, Akaki Minashvili, Giorgi Kandelaki and Paata Davitaia is already in Strasbourg.

The Georgian-Russian debate is not on the agenda of the PACE winter session, but the Georgian side will still discuss Russia's failure to fulfill its commitments.

In addition, the Georgian deputies will inform PACE about why they do not consider it necessary to participate in the discussion of the Georgian-Russian dossier.

Darchiashvili, the chairman of the Georgian Parliamentary European Integration Committee, is expected to make a report at the PACE winter session.

The session starting on Monday and will last until Jan. 28.
