Security pulls back as protesters take Suez, says witness
Security officials have nearly been overrun by demonstrators in the eastern Egyptian port city of Suez, a witness told the German Press Agency dpa Friday.
Suez has been the site of some of the fiercest clashes in four days of anti-government protests, with at least two confirmed protester deaths since Tuesday.
Security forces are pulling back from the city and the protesters have nearly taken over the city, reported the witness.
Meanwhile, in Cairo, streets were clear after police had dispersed crowds, though isolated chanting could still be heard throughout the city.
