The "Georgian Defense Conference" organized by the country's Defense Ministry will be held in Batumi on Feb. 2-3. As the Georgian Defense Ministry told Trend, participants will discuss global safety and Georgia's security.
The meeting will address NATO's new strategic concept and the course of the alliance's operations in Afghanistan.
The participants will also discuss ways to improve the capabilities of the Georgian armed forces and its reserves system and how to ensure transparency in the defense sphere.
The conference will bring together representatives of NATO headquarters, the Pentagon, the diplomatic corps, international and local organizations, the heads of the Georgian military and civilian sectors.
