Uzbek President Islam Karimov signed a decree to dismiss Tashkent City Administration Head Abduqahhor Tukhtayev, a source in the government told Trend.
The Kengash of people's deputies of the Tashkent city made the decision to dismiss Tukhtayev on Wednesday.
Tukhtayev has been serving in this post since April 2005.
The Deputy Tashkent City Administration Head for capital construction, utilities, landscaping, industry and enterprise, Rahmonbek Usmonov, will temporarily perform Tukhtayev's duties.
