Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Nadir Huseynov said that new regulations adopted for improving the visa system in Azerbaijan have been fruitful.
"Rules have been defined allowing foreigners and stateless persons to apply directly to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry for a visa, upon the presidential decree "On some issues relating to registration of visas to foreigners and stateless persons arriving in the Republic of Azerbaijan "dated Sept.13, 2010. The decree reflects cases in which foreigners and stateless persons wishing to come to Azerbaijan can directly contact the consular department functioning at the Heydar Aliyev to obtain a visa," Huseynov told Trend.
Huseynov said the new regulations adopted in the sphere of improving the visa system are very important and have shown their effectiveness in a short period of time.
