Georgia, Tbilisi, May 17 / Trend, N. Kirtskhalia /

The Georgian Foreign Ministry has no doubt in faithful compliance of the country's ambassador to Azerbaijan Temur Sharashenidze with his duties and does not intend to recall him, Deputy Foreign Minister Nino Kalandadze said at a briefing yesterday commenting on reports that ethnic Georgians and Azerbaijanis demand to recall the ambassador.

As the Kakheti News Center reported earlier, the Azerbaijani Gakh region's residents demanded to recall Georgia's ambassador to Azerbaijan due to dissatisfaction of ethnic Georgians living in this region.

"We have some doubts regarding media reports," Kalandadze said.

She underscored that inquiry is underway on the fact. "But before that we are not going to react to this news and question our ambassador's good faith," Kalandadze underlined.
