Democratic Movement leader Nino Burjanadze said the People's Assembly guides rallies in Georgia.

She said the People's Assembly is responsible for the people who came to the rally under the aegis of the meeting.

"If the Georgian party's any decision would be unacceptable for the People's Assembly, then it will not take it. At least, this will not be done under the auspices of the Assembly. The People's Assembly will not tolerate any action that is unacceptable for us, on its behalf and under its auspices," Burjanadze said.

She reiterated that it was not a joint campaign of the People's Assembly and the Georgian party.

Burjanadze explained that "the Georgian party" just supported the rally of the People's Assembly.

The radical opposition has been holding rallies demanding the resignation of President Mikheil Saakashvili.
