There are forces that move the radical wing of the opposition to destabilize public-political situation in the country, the deputy chairman of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party (NAP), executive secretary Ali Ahmedov said in an interview with reporters, expressing attention on actions assigned by the Public Chamber for June 19.
Noting that the attempts to conduct unsanctioned actions in any part of Azerbaijan, including Baku, anywhere, will be decisively prevented, the executive secretary said that the attempts to hold a rally in these hot summer days indicate completely different intentions.
Ahmedov said the opposition's attempt to break the public and political stability in the country is firstly sharply criticized by the Azerbaijani society.
Emphasizing the presence of steady public-political stability, Ahmedov said that every citizen of the country sees the benefit of this.
"I believe that the Azerbaijani society will not support an unsanctioned opposition rally," he said.
Stressing that the Azerbaijani society does not support the rally sentiments, Ahmedov added that the concept of opposition is not limited only to holding street rallies.
"Much of the Azerbaijani opposition, following constructive position, is trying to represent the interests of the individual parts of Azerbaijani society," said Ahmedov.
