Georgian Parliament's Speaker David Bakradze called Poland's presidency in the European Union from July1 as an important moment and a chance for Georgia.

Poland is rightly considered Georgia's main partner in Europe, Bakradze said after meeting with his Polish counterpart Grzegorz Schetyna.

"Georgian-Polish relations can be regarded as an example, as a model of friendship and partnership that develops and strengthens. From July 1, Poland will become the president of the European Union, and we believe that this is the time and chance, when our relations should be used most effectively and positively. Our Polish counterparts are ready for it. We discussed Georgia - the EU relations in details. We discussed what we would like to do together in the second half of the year when the EU presidency will be transferred to Poland. This gives us a chance to accelerate all the processes between Georgia and the European Union," Bakradze said.

Georgian Parliament Spekaer presented Order of Honor to the Polish Sejm members Jan Ołdakowski and Mikhal Yaros.
