The Marelis area traffic stopped completely along the Georgian railway last night. The Georgian railway reported that a train loaded with gasoline coming from Azerbaijan derailed and caught on fire.
The Emergency Situations Department's employees were forced to evacuate residents with homes near the Merelisi station, as the station also caught on fire.
The fire brigade was able to extinguish the fire by morning and traffic was restored. Traffic along the Zestafoni-Kharagauli site has been fully restored.
