During the working visit of President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev to France, defined the new prospects of bilateral trade and economic, industrial and technological cooperation, the press service of Kazakh Foreign Ministry reported.

"In particular, the two leaders wanted to adjust direct flights between Astana and Paris in the near future" - said in the text of the Joint Declaration issued at the end of the visit.

In addition, the two presidents stressed the strategic partnership between the JSC "Kazatomprom "and the group "Areva" and welcomed the signing of the Agreement on Strategic Partnership between the JSC "Kazatomprom" and the Bureau of Geological and Mining Research of France (BRGM), aims to establish a laboratory on rare earth and rare metals.

"Two leaders stressed the role of "Total" in implementing the North-Caspian project and expressed hope for an early start of oil production at the Kashagan field," - said in a press release.

The report stresses that the president welcomed the intention of "Total" to expand its operations in Kazakhstan.
