The a ctivity of the council for selection of judges has been suspended, chairman of the council for selection of judges Shamaral Maichiev told press on Thursday.
"The activity of the council for selection of judges has been suspended," Maichiev said. " The reason was the legal collisions. While they are there, the activity of the council is impossible. We will wait until these collisions are resolved. We will deal with the complaints about judges."
He said that the date of the next board meeting has not been determined because of the lack of a quorum.
"There is no work as the President received all the objections on the candidacies of all 29 candidates for the Supreme Court," chairman of the council said. "We have not discussed the issue on the candidates today because yesterday the president withdrew the objections."
Maichiev said that Deputy Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Bodosh Mamyrova's letter to the council for the selection of judges is a direct pressure on the council. "It says that we must consider the president's objections till October 7. T he pressure is an attempt to interfere with free will. "
It is should be noted that at present, the representatives of public associations rushed to the hall of the council for the selection of judges and demanded to dissolve the Council.
