Azerbaijan is among the ten countries, which first began to fulfill the obligations of the global police communications, Interpol Secretary General Ronald Noble said Thursday at a meeting with Interior Minister of Azerbaijan Ramil Usubov.

Activities of the National Central Bureau of Interpol in Azerbaijan are organized in accordance with modern requirements, said Noble, expressing satisfaction with existing relationships.

The Minister remembered the close ties between the Interior Ministry of Azerbaijan and Interpol - the International Police Organization, and said that the globalizing world, gradual extension of the integration opportunities pose some threats, which necessitate the joint fight against new types of crime and transnational organized crime.

It was noted that Azerbaijan attaches special importance to cooperation with Interpol and is interested in further developing them.

Azerbaijan, as a young sovereign and legal state, confidently integrating into the international community for 20 years of its independence, is committed to democratic principles, ensures the rights and freedoms of citizens, fulfills its commitment to combat criminality, he said.
