The first meeting of the Azerbaijani-Turkish Strategic Cooperation Council will be held in Izmir on Oct.25-26, the Zaman newspaper said on Tuesday.
The meeting will be attended by the Azerbaijani senior officials and Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The meeting is expected to discuss ways to further develop bilateral relations in economy and trade.
The participants will take part in laying the foundations of a new refinery, which is designed to provide raw materials to the petrochemical complex Petkim, in which the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) has equity participation.
