President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan have today attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the inauguration of the AYPE-T plant in Izmir, Turkey.
Produced in this plant, the polyethylene products of low density are the most important raw material for plastic industry. Annual capacity of the plant, which will produce 11 types of products, is 160,000 tons.
Aliyev and Erdogan also attended the groundbreaking ceremony to lay the foundation of Heydar Aliyev Vocational Education Lyceum.
A protocol on building the Lyceum was signed between the SOCAR and Izmir governor's office.
Lyceum will begin activities in 2012/2013 academic year. The facility has 24 classrooms, residential building and sports hall. A total of 720 pupils will get education at the Lyceum.
The Azerbaijani leader and Turkish Premier expressed their congratulations on the occasion.
