Tripartite meeting date of Azerbaijani, Turkish and Iranian FMs to be agreed

The next meeting of Azerbaijani, Turkish and Iranian Foreign Ministers will be held in Nakhchivan. The date is about to be being agreed, Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov said at a press conference in Astana.

The next meeting of Azerbaijani, Turkish and Iranian Foreign Ministers will be held in Nakhchivan. The date is about to be being agreed, Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov said at a press conference in Astana.

"The meetings of the foreign ministers of the three countries - Azerbaijan, Turkey and Iran follow a set route," Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov said at the press conference following the 30th meeting of the informal working group on the Convention on the Legal status of the Caspian Sea in Astana on Wednesday. "These are three friendly countries and the next meeting will be held in Nakhchivan, date to be announced."

The previous meeting of foreign ministers of the three countries was held in the Iranian city of Urmia in April.

Mr Khalafov said that a meeting will take place of high level officials in Tehran in the near future before the scheduled tripartite meeting. The agenda of the meeting of Azerbaijani, Turkish and Iranian foreign ministers in Nakhchivan will be discussed.
